This basket has been made to represent a scalloped shell. The shell is a popular theme in found in many pieces throughout Belleek Pottery's history such as the many Shell Tableware patterns and ornate figurative pieces. All have been inspired by the Irish coastline found only a few miles from the pottery in Belleek. This hand woven basket is decorated with hand applied pink shells, star fish and sea urchins. A crab placed at the top of the basket scurries among the sea grasses and coral found in rock pools. Wild yellow viola flowers found near Irish beaches finish off this beautiful sea life creation.

- About Belleek:
Promoting over 160 years of craftsmanship, Belleek Pottery is located in the quaint village of Belleek in Co. Fermanagh on the banks of the River Erne. This Neo-Georgian building is home to Ireland's oldest working fine china pottery. Established in 1857, Belleek Pottery holds a very special place in Ireland's cultural and commercial heritage.
Original and unique pieces are designed and handcrafted using skill and craftsmanship that has been passed down from generation to generation for over the last 160 years. Each piece of Traditonal Belleek passes through 16 pairs of hands from design to finished piece. The process is meticulous, the result is perfection.
