With its classic good looks and distinctive deep grooved decoration, the Bernadotte collection of cutlery has stood the test of time and remains the epitome of sophistication. Originally designed in 1936, this stainless steel five piece set brings a sense of elegance to any mealtime.

By birth a prince in the Swedish royal family, Sigvard Bernadotte became one of Georg Jensen’s earliest design stars. Greatly influenced by the prevailing Functionalist movement, he introduced a more minimalist and practical aesthetic to the house which paved the way for mid century modernism.

The set comprises one each of a dinner spoon (3609011, 199mm), a dinner fork (3609012, 204mm), a dinner knife (3609014, 229mm) a dessert spoon (3609021, 183mm) and a lunch or starter fork (3609022, 186mm). It is made from mirror polished stainless steel and is dishwasher proof.

With a history that spans more than 100 years, the Georg Jensen brand represents quality craftsmanship and timeless aesthetic design, producing lifestyle products ranging from hollowware to watches, jewellery and home products.

The philosophy of Georg Jensen himself was to create democratic designs possessing both functionality and beauty. His artisanal skill and artistic talent combined with his continuous ability to identify and support design talent was the foundation on which he built Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904.

Georg Jensen's style embraced the Art Nouveau lines of the day but injected them with a distinctive vigor that continues to resonate today. Serene flowing forms are enriched by exquisitely sculpted ornamentation and his stylized bouquets of flowers and lush bunches of grapes reflect his sensual delight in nature. Our most important task is to leverage the ideas and principles of the master himself and translate these into the design of the present day.
