This edition of the iconic 1988 Panton tray is representative of Verner Panton’s boundary-breaking approach to design and passion for experimenting with materials, colour and shape.

It is attentively crafted from a thick layer of glass and powder-coated in a colour palette that references the designer’s passion for vibrant hues. Panton himself wished to craft the tray in glass however the techniques of the time did not allow it.

Engraved with Panton's signature, the piece was reissued in close collaboration with the Panton family and is hand-moulded to reproduce the original design through attentive and time-demanding techniques. It can be used as an eye-catching centrepiece, or also as a tray to hold food.

This tray is handcrafted in Portugal. It is food safe but not dishwasher-safe. It includes four small plastic pads on the bottom surface to prevent scratches.

With a history that spans more than 100 years, the Georg Jensen brand represents quality craftsmanship and timeless aesthetic design, producing lifestyle products ranging from hollowware to watches, jewellery and home products.

The philosophy of Georg Jensen himself was to create democratic designs possessing both functionality and beauty. His artisanal skill and artistic talent combined with his continuous ability to identify and support design talent was the foundation on which he built Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904.

Georg Jensen's style embraced the Art Nouveau lines of the day but injected them with a distinctive vigor that continues to resonate today. Serene flowing forms are enriched by exquisitely sculpted ornamentation and his stylized bouquets of flowers and lush bunches of grapes reflect his sensual delight in nature. Our most important task is to leverage the ideas and principles of the master himself and translate these into the design of the present day.
