This vase is an homage in porcelain to these intelligent, sociable and familial primates, which are our close relatives. There are around 260 species of monkeys in the world, many of which are under serious threat of extinction. In addition, the monkey is attributed with many qualities such as the ability to overcome challenges, steadfastness and tireless energy. Lladró has focused its gaze on these primates and portrays them in porcelain, depicting them with precision and underscoring the playful, inquisitive character for which they are known.
