Description
Quintessential subjects in Baroque period still lifes, the motif of pears and grapes also hints at one of the large bowl’s obvious functions. Of generous depth, with a narrow rim and raised on a moulded foot, this shape from the British Isles appears to be a regional preference.
About the collection
The Inspired, a collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum, London references the museum’s vast archive of 17th and 18th century European pewter. Each piece is marked with the V&A logotype.
