Joyful life and good fortune overflow from the "Ruyi Charged with Joy," lovingly rendered in realistic detail, and designed to promote feng shui good luck. One's eye is immediately drawn to the oversized persimmons and the detailed pâte de verre work evoking natural wood. A pair of magpies rounds out this 3-inlay Ruyi, bringing it to life. In Chinese culture, magpies are believed to bring good fortune, as the word "magpie" in Mandarin (xique) sounds similar to the word "overjoyed" (xiyue). Similarly, as the phrase "10 persimmons" (shishi) sounds like the phrase "all matter" (shishi). The crystal bird figurines thus combine with the persimmons to convey powerful imagery of good luck, in which joy permeates all things. Such a desire is particularly ideal for newlyweds.
Lofty branches, lush leaves, the magpie sings to the heavens. Laden with the fruit of success, celebrate a year of prosperity. Joy is the root from which this world of happiness springs.

About LIULI Crystal:
About LIULI Crystal:
Founded in 1987 by renowned glass artists Loretta H. Yang and Chang Yi, LIULI has grown from a modest workshop in Taiwan to become Asia's leading brand of crystal art. Liuli is a Chinese term from the Han Dynasty for glass art, and was chosen to honor the richness of Chinese heritage and culture. Records show that artisans of the Han Dynasty were highly skilled in lost-wax casting (pâte de verre) but the craft was subsequently lost and forgotten. Yang and Chang revived the craft and reintroduced it to the international arena.
The pioneering LIULI spirit has guided contemporary glass art to new heights. Each piece undergoes a comprehensive twelve-step process and requires six to eight months to complete. LIULI produces a limited number of pieces, so as to foster an environment where our artists are constantly engaged in the creation process and stay relevant to the society we care about.
